Andrea Pavleka is an award-winning author based in Melbourne
Andrea is the 2024 winner of the Peter Carey Short Story Award. This national award is offered by the Moorabool Shire Council. Andrea’s winning story, That Golden Hour, will be published in the Spring edition of Meanjin.
Andrea is also the 2023 winner of the Jennifer Burbidge Short Story Award. This national award is offered through the Williamstown Literary Festival. Her winning story, The Neighbour, has been published in hard copy in the festival anthology, The Adas 2023, and is also available electronically on the festival’s website.
Andrea is continuing to write short fiction and her major writing project is a trilogy of novels for young adults.
